Description Top sliding
window for bodyside saloon, consists of bottom fixed glass bonded to a window frame
incorporating double sliding glasses. The sliding glass is unframed at the top and leading
edge and incorporates a weather bar at the centre with a slider rail at the bottom edge.
The sliding glass is operated by a locking handle mounted at the leading edge which
catches on the frame.
The unit facilitates bonded mounting with a flanged mainframe
upper and flush bottom glass.

John Gilbert & Co will ensure windows will be within
specification and engineering drawing tolerances by means of:
- Production jigs and fixtures
- Assembly gauges
Traceability
- Serial number and date will be stamped into the frame in a
inconspicuous - accessible place.
