Door Systems

SINGLE-FOLDING DOORS
A single-folding door is suitable for doorways up to 950mm wide and is compact and economical. The leaves are carried on a steel shaft, which is suspended from the overhead mechanism and located at the bottom by a bearing bolted to the step. The two leaves are joined by a pair of substantial maintenance-free hinges.
HANDRAILS
The door is normally supplied complete with a diagonally ascending handrail finished in yellow polyester. If a handrail is not required, a small handle is fitted near the top of the door to enable it to be pulled open in an emergency.

NOSING RUBBER
The free edge of the door leaf has an 80mm hollow rubber nosing which seals against a smaller hollow rubber mounted in a rigid PVC section fixed to the body pillar.

APERTURE SEALS
Rubber seals ready-mounted in an extruded aluminium section are provided for fitting to the vehicle body at the top and side of the doorway. A rubber seal is preferable for the top of the door, but is practical only where the door can open without passing outwards through the seal. If interior space limitations make it necessary for the opening door to pass outwards through the top seal, then a nylon brush seal must be used instead. The bottom seals are nylon brush sections mounted adjustably on the door leaves.
