Door Systems

GLIDING DOORS
Gliding doors have the advantage of a large glass area offering a pleasing appearance and maximum sideways vision for the driver. The leaves are carried on steel shafts, which are suspended from the overhead mechanism and located at the bottom by bearings bolted to the step.
STEP CUT-OUT
To allow the door to pass over the first step when open, it can be provided with a small hinged section in the lower panel.

HANDRAILS
Gliding doors are normally supplied complete with diagonally ascending handrails finished in yellow polyester.

NOSING RUBBERS
The meeting edge of each door leaf has a hollow rubber nosing which features an overlapping tongue to ensure a good seal between the leaves. The nosing can be equipped as a sensitive edge which will re-open the door if it encounters an obstruction during closing.

APERTURE SEALS
Rubber seals ready mounted in extruded aluminium sections are provided for fitting to the vehicle body at each side of the doorway. The top seal is a nylon brush in a similar aluminium section and allows the door nosing to pass outwards through the seal as it opens. The bottom seals are nylon brush sections mounted adjustably on the door leaves.
