Double-Gliding Doors

DOUBLE-GLIDING DOORS
The double flush-gliding door is designed for city-bus entrance and exit doorways. It can be shaped to fit flush with a profiled body-side and has a large glass area offering a pleasing appearance and maximum sideways vision for the driver. The leaves are carried on steel shafts, which are suspended from the overhead mechanism and located at the bottom by bearings bolted to the step.

HANDRAILS
Gliding doors are normally supplied complete with a diagonally ascending handrail finished in yellow polyester.

NOSING RUBBER
The meeting edge of each door leaf has an 80mm hollow rubber nosing which features an overlapping tongue to ensure a good seal between the leaves.

APERTURE SEALS
Rubber seals are provided for fitting to the vehicle body at the sides of the doorway. The top seal is a short nylon brush seal in an aluminium section. Bottom seals are also nylon brushes mounted adjustably on the door leaves.
